Journey through 100 years of Victorian engineering to the heart of Cecil John Rhodes’ vision of a Cape to Cairo railway. The Victoria Falls Bridge was constructed in 1904 as part of this epic dream to connect the north and south of the continent by railway. Tour includes an entertaining and informative talk on the history of the bridge, and includes an opportunity to walk the gangways underneath the bridge for a unique perspective on the Bridge and Falls.
The Historic Bridge Tour is a wonderful family experience full of theatre, facts and thrills all set against the glorious backdrop of the Victoria Falls and can be enjoyed by all ages. Activity lasts one and half hours and includes transfers to and from your accommodation. Don't forget your passport for the border control requirements!
There's also a chance to explore the Victoria Falls Bridge Museum, with interpretive displays, and the opportunity to combine with lunch at the Victoria Falls Bridge Cafe, with stunning views of the Bridge and bungee jumpers. In the evenings the bridge is illuminated, making an impressive sight.
