Explore the 4,000 hectare Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve, a fenced conservation area established in 1996. This wilderness area has been transformed into a diversity-rich wildlife reserve – home to several flagship conservation programs including a black rhino breeding programme (under intensive guard to prevent poaching). A mere 15 minutes drive from Victoria Falls the game drive will offer you almost 90 percent chance of seeing the endangered black rhino in its natural environment. The estate contains many other native species, including zebra, giraffe, elephant, buffalo and several antelope species, and presents great photographic opportunities.
Game drives are available as half-day morning or afternoon options, with and speciality sunset and night drive with bush dinner option also available - starting just before sunset to see game active during the day and then the last half of the drive is a night drive with spot-light giving you a higher chance of seeing the illusive big cats such as leopard and nocturnal other species. Enjoy a scrumptious meal under the starts before being dropped off back at your accommodation.
An activity that takes place in the Mosi-o-tunya National Park in Zambia, the rhino walk allows you to get closer to endangered white rhino than you would ever have thought possible (again under intensive 24hr guard to prevent poaching). Take a game-drive safari to locate these incredible animals and walk in to view and photograph without disturbing these rare and endangered creatures.
